MFE • MISTAKES WERE MADE
BACKGROUND

The Story

Misfits started out as a group of ragtag gamers back in the early 2000's. Originally Misfits Clan on the original Xbox. The Misfits were always a small but tight knit group. Whether it was duels in Unreal Tournament, stomping around in Mech Assault, or doing squad stuff on Halo 2 or Ghost Recon they always had the same core ideal of watching each others backs.

Then came the PC gaming era. As people started winding down on gaming regularly one member took the name to the stars in Eve Online. Jenner (named after the JR7-F 'mech from BattleTech) rebranded Misfits Clan as Misfits Enterprises. Stepping up the seriousness a bit the Corp's focus was on PMC work. Through careful recruitment of members Jenner and the Misfits began carving a name for themselves across the verse. Offensive, rude, and lethally efficient The Misfits had a long career with a 100% success rate on contracts. Jenner didn't care the odds, he knew his crew and they knew that while Mistakes are made, that never prevents the battle from being won. Eventually after almost a decade, they grew tired of spreadsheets in space and wanted to branch out. After retiring in the most Jenner fashion possible they dispersed into other games.

The nomad phase was interesting. Brief stint in ARMA, heavy on Battlefield 3, occasional chaos in Forza the core crew stuck together as they bounced from game to game still waving the banner and carrying the energy. Finally the call of the stars came again, and Elite Dangerous was released. There was a heavy focus there again. PVP, ship to ship, causing headaches for anyone they had in their sights the crew slowly began expanding.

With Elite came a new thing... Streaming. Jenner decided to broadcast some of the antics on Twitch and began getting quite a fun following. Fellow Pilots tuned in to watch some of the dumbest operations known to man work despite them having no business working. The result lead to the current crew. That's where some key members came onboard. With the new entertainment focused energy Misfits decided to start making a difference in the real world as well as the virtual. Partnerships with several real organizations were forged. Charity drives were done and quite successful and they decided to diversify once again.

Notable games they branched off into were GTA 5, Metal Gear Solid 5, The Division, and The Crew. From turning Los Santos into their personal warzone, to sticking people on balloons in Metal Gear, being the final bosses of the Dark Zone, absolute mental piracy in Sea of Thieves, and bitching about Janet the cheating Green Ford Focus in The Crew the Misfits really gained traction and started tightening the group bonds. They even held a major IRL meetup in the UK and it was an amazing experience for all. Unfortunately life began to happen for several members, the gaming slowed down, life changes got in the way and the regularity died.

Fast forward to now. Misfits still hang out, some still stream, but the one thing has remained constant. When they set out to do something they win. Occasional ops in Star Citizen always end in chaos or Minor in space jail but on a good note, Racing is still a strong point with frequent runs in The Crew 2 or Motorfest, recently they had gone HARD in Dune Awakening and by all intents and purposes... won the game by taming Arrakis. Regularity is slowly trying to pick back up and hence the creation of this site.
